Game 34: Balderdash

I've been waiting for a game night with friends to pull out Balderdash -- much more fun with more people -- too easy with just four of us!  Last night we had a total of 8 people here; there weren't enough of the pawns that came with the game, so we grabbed other little figures, a hippo, a frog, a warrior, etc.  I've labeled this as a "Word Game," and it is a game of making up definitions, but it is also a game of coming up with descriptions of movies based on title, short bios of people based only on the name, etc.  The full list of categories is under the picture of the game-board below.
There is a box of cards that lists one each of the 5 categories in the game.  Players take turns being the card reader; the rest of the players make up definitions or descriptions and then pass those to the reader.  When all definitions or descriptions are read out, all players select the one that sounds correct to them.  Points are awarded based on how many votes your "definition" gets, whether or not you vote for the correct answer, and, if you are the reader, if no one guesses the correct answer.   The categories are as follows:

Weird Words
Peculiar People
Incredible Initials
Marvelous Movies
Laughable Laws

Lots of thinking is going on in the picture below!
Here is a sampling of a few cards that came up for us last night.  Below the picture I've shared the outcome of one of these cards for us.  See how you do with it!
When it was my turn to read I had the card that's pictured on the top left above.  I rolled a 1, so our category was Weird Words, in this case, "Mormoop."  Try to choose the correct definition out of those that were written during our game:

Mormoop - the inner membrane of a marsupial's pouch

Mormoop - a type of ugly bat

Mormoop - one of the main sails on a Chinese junket

Mormoop - a word to describe a feeling of an odd happiness

Mormoop - sap that is collected to be made into syrup

Mormoop - a safety device used in bobsledding

Mormoop - the state in which a person is severely depressed.
